Innovative multifrequency ultrasonic concept with submersible transducers for chamber cleaning units
With the SONOPOWER 3S system for 25/50 kHz, we present an innovative ultrasonic solution that now also enables the use of multifrequency ultrasound in vacuum chamber cleaning systems.
The powerhouse with its power output of up to 3,000 watt is extremely flexible and adaptable.
Our internationally patented heavy-duty rod transducers are the logical further development for the strictest demands and the toughest applications – even in continuous operation at temperatures of up to 90 °C. As a first mover, they have shaped the entire ultrasound industry.
Now, thanks to the use of ultrasound, it is for the first time possible to deburr metallic components using a targeted cavitation effect. The new approach, a joint project with the Fraunhofer IPA Institute, allows deburring of both internal and external areas on components on the basis of ultrasonically induced cavitation with minimum energy usage.
Weber Ultrasonics wins the 2015 "Aktiv gegen Stigma" integration prize
On Wednesday, 13 January 2016 at 7 p.m. the awards ceremony for the "Aktiv gegen Stigma” (or Active Against Stigma) integration prize was held in Karlsbad-Langensteinbach as part of the New Year Reception. The actual prize chosen by the Karlsbad Verein zur Förderung Betroffener von psychischen Erkrankungen (a charity which helps people with mental disabilities) was a unique sculpture made of black granite created by the artist Stefan Lenzinger. The 2015 Integration Prize was awarded to Weber Ultrasonics from Karlsbad-Ittersbach, a leading global supplier of industrial ultrasonic technology.
In keeping with the motto "Investment in the Future” the "Aktiv gegen Stigma e.V." charity had sponsored the integration prize in October last year. The prize was to be conferred on companies which create a working environment for their employees in which they feel appreciated and valued, thereby preventing psychological and physical illness by means of a positive corporate culture. In addition, the prize was focused on employers who are actively committed to shaping the company's working environment, creating a framework for people suffering from mental disabilities thus making it easier for them to lead a normal working life and also preventing psychological problems, thereby actively promoting their integration. The aim of the Integration Prize is to demonstrate recognition and appreciation of such activities as positive and successful examples, encouraging others to follow the lead of companies like these.
Weber Ultrasonics received the prize for its "... particularly effective and creative social contributions and further development opportunities for its employees in all areas of its working environment", an achievement summarised by the panel of judges which included Prof. Dr. Weisbrod, Chairman of the "Aktiv gegen Stigma" association, Mayor Jens Timm, Elke Wildenmann from the Business Development Association and Klaus Steigerwald from the Association of the Self-Employed in Karlsbad. "The company offers its employees a wide range of opportunities to shape their working environment in a way that maintains their health and promotes their well-being so that their private and working lives can be harmoniously balanced", explained Prof. Dr. Weisbrod in his laudatory speech at the awards ceremony when presenting the prize to Managing Director Nathalie Etienne.
The reasons why this prize was well-earned are impressive. The basis of the family-friendly working conditions are very flexible working hours and workplace options, flexitime and part-time working models and also semi-retirement arrangements. The health-related and social aspects are also prioritised at Weber Ultrasonics. Social commitment is not only part of the corporate culture, but also of the corporate strategy.
Weber Ultrasonics focuses fully on the individual in his or her social environment. In addition to effective and sound technology, this is the company's key to success. The company offers an above-average and wide range of all-year sporting activities in which families are included and which are also financially subsidised. Various team sports are promoted to encourage team spirit among the employees. The "WU Sports Group" has already successfully participated at various regional competitions such as the Karlsruhe B2RUN. Alongside sports programmes, the company also offers its employees and families cultural highlights as well as family and children's programmes.
The health concept offers all employees the option of an annual check-up by a works physician and they can make use of these appointments for a free health consultation. In 2014 the company launched an additional company health insurance scheme for its employees and their families, allowing them to supplement the governmental health care programme. This is subsidised by the company for its employees and their families.
Another extra benefit provided by the company is its savings scheme. The employees participate in the company's financial success through an incentives programme. Weber Ultrasonics supports the old age pension provisions of its employees with its own pension scheme.
The family-run company feels particularly committed to fulfilling its social obligations for society as a whole and its employees as individuals, and places great emphasis on a personal, human corporate culture, ensuring that employees are both happy and proud of their company. For this reason, employee orientation and loyalty are traditionally core elements of the company's management and are firmly anchored in its value system. The disadvantaged, people with a migration background or without completed educational qualifications as well as those who often fall through the cracks in society are given a chance. Many have taken advantage of these opportunities and are now members of the core team.
Weber Ultrasonics also actively promotes young people. Every year new trainees and Cooperative University students are taken on. School work placements allow young people to get insight into the world of ultrasonics – and for several of these this has been the first step on the path to a career in this field. Employees wishing to enter further training programmes are encouraged, and a large number of very young team leaders with managerial responsibilities can participate in individual coaching and further training courses.
Innumerable examples illustrate that this company is fully committed to the integration concept and lives in accordance with its principles every single day. Today, Weber Ultrasonics is not only a leading global supplier of ultrasonic technology for cleaning, welding and cutting as well as environmental technology and custom applications, but has also assumed leadership in creating exemplary working conditions.
Nathalie Etienne summarises: "To us these differences in age, culture, language and values mean variety - and it is exactly this variety that enriches us and spurs us on. The Integration Prize is a major achievement for us, as it symbolises our most important investment in the future – investment in people! "
First rod transducer for multifrequency ultrasound
Weber Ultrasonics, one of the world's leading manufacturers of ultrasonic components, presents the first rod transducer for multifrequency ultrasound in the form of the SONOPUSH® MONO TWIN.
It is designed for the 25 and 40kHz frequencies often used in industrial component cleaning, has a length of 300mm and offers power output of 900 Watt. The new rod transducer thus enables single and multi-chamber cleaning units to be equipped with multifrequency ultrasound for the first time while saving space and money. All-round emittance of ultrasound produces a homogeneous sound field. At the same time, the innovative SONOPUSH® MONO TWIN impresses with very high efficiency.
The solid rod transducer made of a special titanium alloy is perfectly suited to processes under vacuum and positive pressure. Sound waves are created by a matching ultrasonic generator.
